My daughter got a new zebra print chair in her room. Now that she is a big sister, it made sense to pass her glider chair down to her little brother. It’s hard to believe that she will already by turning 2 years old next month!
You may remember seeing this glider chair in Julia’s pink and turquoise room.
The glider chair was very useful when she was a little baby and needed to be rocked. However, it had been awhile since we had actually used it as a rocking chair. We were mostly using the chair to store Julia’s bedtime books. We store the books in the pockets on the sides of the seat. You can see a book sticking out of the pocket on the right side of the chair in the above picture.
The brown glider chair conveniently fit in with the baseball theme in my son’s room. It will definitely be more useful in a nursery.
I was a little nervous about putting the new chair in Julia’s room. She doesn’t like change and notices right away if something is out of place. We put the new chair in her room while she was out of the house and hoped for the best when she got home.
It turned out that she LOVED the new zebra chair and ottoman! She immediately ran over and began climbing onto the ottoman. That is now her favorite spot to sit and listen to bedtime stories.
My daughter’s new grey and white zebra chair and grey ottoman actually came from our office. I bought them both at Home Goods a few years ago with no intention of ever putting them in a kid’s bedroom.
However, I think the grey chair and ottoman look good in the pink and turquoise room. I’m glad it worked out so nicely!
What do you think of the new chair? Have you moved any chairs around in your house recently?
Have a great day!
