You may have noticed the magnets on my magnetic artwork displays. These magnets were very easy to make and only required a few supplies.
Since I had to buy rare earth magnets to use with our new artwork display board, I decided to make them pretty.
Supplies for Magnets:
- Glass Gems (Dollar Tree)
- Mod Podge
- Scrapbook Paper
- Magnets (Home Depot)
The first thing I did was put some mod podge on the bottom of the glass gems and press them onto the scrapbook paper. The mod podge dries clear, so don’t worry. I decided to make 8 magnets, so I would have 4 on each artwork display board.
After waiting about 15 minutes for the mod podge to dry, I cut the glass gems apart and then cut the scrapbook paper as close as I could around the glass gems.
Then I attached the magnets to the back using my hot glue gun. And that is all. It’s a very easy project. The possibilities are endless for the different colors and designs you can use when making these magnets. I have quite a few glass gems left, so now I am thinking about what colors I can make next!
Have you ever made your own magnets?
Have a great day!
